...but this year is very different. I've left my secure job, leaving me with more time to make/think/ponder jewellery (whilst also finishing off the Luminaries and doing a bit of housework of course). That sinking feeling has been replaced with a sense of excitement (or is it trepidation?) for the possibilities that lie ahead.
I've been busy getting some jewellery ready for Eskimo Blue Gallery in the newly opened Silver Arcade. The arcade looks wonderful as does the Gallery, a refreshing change from Highcross! Fridays have been strangely enjoyable working in the Gallery and trying to get to grips with the card payment machine!
I had been hoping to start teaching jewellery making and discussed this possibility with Charlotte Barker , the owner. My usual stance is procrastination, but I hadn't realised how dynamic Charlotte is, so the flyers for the classes were out within the week! I'm hoping the first classes will start at the end of February.
Wistow Gallery re-opens on 1st February. Bridget Hawkridge, the new owner has agreed to exhibit some jewellery from my Clematis collection. I'm looking forward to seeing all the new work that will be there and the themed collection -A Splash of red - for Valentine's day.
